On July 20, 2017 deputies responded to a call of suspicious vehicle located in the Robbins area of Moore County. Deputies located the suspicious vehicle along with Timothy Craig Reed, who was wanted for numerous felony-related drug charges. During the arrest of Reed, deputies found: four grams of crystal-methamphetamine, a loaded handgun and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Reed was arrested and charged with: possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule II controlled-substance, felony possession of a schedule II controlled-substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed weapon and the possession of a firearm with an altered serial number.
Reed was placed into the Moore County Detention Center and given a $5,000 secured bond with an August 8, 2017 District Court date.
Reed also received an additional $210,000 secured bond for failure to appear in Moore County District and Superior courts on numerous drug-related offenses.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
