Moore County Historical Association and Sandhills Area Land Trust Presents
“A Glimpse of Moore County History”
McDonald Artisan Farm, 1615 Bethesda Road, Aberdeen • Free Admission
Gene Schoenfelder and Joe McDonald will offer a glimpse back into Moore County’s history. Long before there was golf in Moore County, the Civil War and the American Revolution was fought here. But long before the Europeans came to Moore County… there were the local American Indians who inhabited our local land. What Civil War incidents happened in Southern Pines? Who was Kenneth Black and what was his role in the American Revolution? What happened to our American Indians?
Join in for this taste of history topped with lemonade at the historic McDonald Artisan Farm, built in 1776.
June 3rd is Land Trust Day, and the group will be honoring the permanent protection of this significant property for our community.
