The Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills announced that it has received a $5,000 grant from the Joy in Childhood Foundation, the charitable foundation supported by Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins, which is committed to providing moments of joy to sick and hungry kids.
The grant from the Joy in Childhood Foundation will support the Heathy Habits program, which puts an emphasis on eating smart and maintaining physical fitness.
“We are proud to be a part of the Joy in Childhood Foundation’s mission to provide joy to hungry kids by providing the resources they need in their daily lives,” said Caroline Eddy, Executive Director of Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills. “This grant will enable us to further our own mission and Healthy Habits program.”
“The Joy in Childhood Foundation is proud to continue to support local organizations such as Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills that share our commitment to bringing joy to hungry kids and to helping them live healthier lives so that they can reach their full potential,” said Ken Baer, local Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee.
To date, the Joy in Childhood Foundation has awarded $18,000 to Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills to help address child hunger in southern Moore County.
