Jimmie George Lampros, 76 of Southern Pines, passed away on December 27, 2018 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.

Born on April 9, 1942 in Fayetteville, North Carolina and raised in Wilson, NC to the late George Lampros and Minnie Gliarmis DiLeo. Most of his career was spent locally at JP Stevens and then in Chicago in textile sales before moving back home to NC eight years ago to be close to his family. His family was most important to him and he loved the time he got to spend with his grandchildren. He was also very proud of his Greek Heritage.

Jimmie served proudly in the US Marine Corps. He enjoyed scuba diving, boating, water skiing and tennis but most of all time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, George Lampros.

He is survived by one daughter, Nicole L. Bowman and her husband Tim; and three grandchildren, Trey, Tyler, and Rylee Bowman.
