Two men have been arrested and charged in the shooting death of 23 year old Lashun Dominique Brower in Aberdeen on December 10th of this year.
Law enforcement officials were called to a reported person shot at a home in the 100 block of Meredith Drive off of Keyser Street in Aberdeen minutes after 10:00 pm that Sunday.
The victim was transported from the scene by ambulance, however died a short time after arriving at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Detectives with Aberdeen Police Department began an extensive investigation into the shooting resulting in the arrest of 20 year old Shakeil Kerdim Cooper from a Timberlane Drive address in Fayetteville on December 22, 2017.
Cooper was charged with murder, second degree kidnapping, discharging a weapon into a dwelling, and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
After appearing before a magistrate Cooper was held without bond in the Moore County Detention Center pending a January 9, 2018 initial appearance in court.
A second suspect was taken into custody on Wednesday December 27th.
19 year old Calyndell Omari Miller from a Burke Road address in Raeford was arrested and charged with murder, second degree kidnapping, and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
After appearing before a magistrate Miller was held without bond in the Moore County Detention Center pending a January 9, 2018 initial appearance in court.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
The investigation into the shooting continues as of this report.
