The Aberdeen Police Department has become aware of a phone scam asking for donations for fallen officers and for officers from the Aberdeen Police Department.
This is a scam as the Aberdeen Police Department does not solicit donations from the public.
The police department is warning residents to not donate to phone solicitations but rather ask them to send you information in the mail and you can decide if you want to donate.
