Sue Ann Coleman, 81, died of cancer on October 23 at her home in Pinehurst, NC.

Born July 6, 1936 in Kane, PA, Sue lived a full life as a registered nurse, social worker, businesswoman, income tax preparer, loving wife and mother. As the wife of Naval officer Charles L. Coleman (deceased), Sue traveled the world and brought the richness of her experiences into the lives of all who knew her. Sue and her husband moved to Pinehurst in 1988, where she later opened Coleman Tax Service. She relished the opportunity to meet new people and help others that her business provided over the following 20+ years.

If a person can be measured by the people they leave behind, Sue stood tall. Sue is survived not only by her daughter, Kim Coleman of Campbell, CA and many beloved nieces and nephews, but also by a wide network of loving friends, brought together by her kindness, wicked sense of humor, and willingness to “tell it like it is”.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM on Saturday November 4 at Boles Funeral Home in Pinehurst. A memorial service for Sue will follow the visitation at 3PM at the Boles Funeral Home Chapel in Pinehurst.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Humane Society or Habitat for Humanity. Do not mourn her passing. Celebrate her life.

Online condolences may be made at www.bolesfuneralhome.com

Boles Funeral Home of Southern Pines is assisting the family.
