Sheriff Neil Godfrey announced the arrest of two individuals following the execution of a search warrant in the Cameron area of Moore County.
On September 28, 2017 the Moore County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant of 216 Shelly Lane, Cameron, North Carolina. During the search of the residence, deputies seized: 61 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 15 dosage units of Diazepam a schedule IV controlled-substance, two grams of marijuana, assorted drug paraphernalia, three firearms and $569.00 in US currency.
Arrested were:
James Christopher Collins, 47 years of age
216 Shelly Lane
Carthage, North Carolina
Collins was charged with: trafficking in methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine, the felony maintaining a dwelling for the storage of a controlled-substance, three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of up to half an ounce marijuana and the possession of drug paraphernalia.
Collins was placed in the Moore County Detention Center under a $200,000 secured bond and given an October 10, 2017 District Court date.
Jason Ray Woody, 35 years of age
4135 Center Church Road
Sanford, North Carolina
Woody was charged with: possession with the intent to sell and deliver a schedule IV controlled-substance, possession of up to half an ounce marijuana and the possession of drug paraphernalia.
Woody was placed in the Moore County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond and also given an October 10, 2017 District Court date.
All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
