Two people were injured in a three vehicle collision outside of Pinebluff Saturday Night.
Emergency responders were called out to a three vehicle accident just after 10:00 pm on US Highway 1 near Batchelor Farm Road.
According to law enforcement officers at the scene a Nissan Altima came over a hill and ran into the rear of two other passenger cars traveling in the southbound lanes of US 1 just outside of the Pinebluff City limits. The two vehicles struck were a Honda Accord and a Chevrolet Impala.
Two people were transported to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital by ambulance with what were reported as non-life threatening injuries.
One lane of US Highway 1 in the southbound direction was closed for approximately one hour causing a brief slowdown for drivers passing through the area.
Responding to this incident were units with Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, Moore County Sheriff’s Department, and the NC State Highway Patrol.
The cause of the collision remained under investigation as of this report.
