Details

One person was injured in a single vehicle accident Saturday afternoon outside of Whispering Pines.

The driver of a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup ran off of the road striking a pine tree head-on just after 3:00 pm. The wreck occurred on Lees Branch Drive off of Vass Carthage Road.

The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle at the time of the accident. She was transported to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst by ambulance with injuries reported as not-life threatening.

Responding to this wreck were units with Whispering Pines Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, Moore County Sheriff’s Department, and the NC State Highway Patrol.

The cause of the accident remained under investigation as of this report.
