The Whispering Pines Police Department announces the arrest of Nicholas Edward Skaluba, 20 years old, of Whispering Pines, NC, on a fugitive warrant for felony charges allegedly occurring in Alpena, Michigan.

The criminal charges filed against Skaluba in the State of Michigan were two counts of felony criminal sexual conduct-first degree and two counts of felony controlled substance-delivery to commit criminal sexual conduct.

Skaluba was arrested and taken before a Moore County Magistrate where he was given a $150,000 secured bond.

Skaluba’s extradition proceedings have been scheduled for July 11, 2017 in Moore County District Court.

All defendants facing criminal charges are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
