This past Monday night Chief Phillip Richardson with Aberdeen Fire & Rescue recognized several new promotions within the department at a Badge Pinning ceremony held at the Aberdeen Board of Commissioners meeting.
With the upcoming retirement of Deputy Chief Gary Blue this Friday, several firefighters were promoted to new positions within the Aberdeen Fire Department.
Showing their new ranks, those recognized and promoted included (pictured left to right above) Deputy Chief Jeremiah Johnson, Assistant Chief Bill Fredericks who will be in charge of Aberdeen’s substation on NC 211, Assistant Chief Billy Lewis who will be in charge of the volunteers in the department, Captain Seth Yarborough, Lt. Marty Garner, and Lt. Dwayne Seals.
Also recognized at the ceremony were new hires with the fire department James Capstaff and Desparado McCrimmon.
