Anthony W. “Cris” Crisafulli, age 88 of Seven Lakes passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at his home.
Born on January 14, 1931 in Essex Co., NJ to the late William Canmalo Crisafulli and Anna Falgares Crisafulli. After graduating high school, Cris joined the United States Navy and during the Korean War, he served as a medic with the United States Marines. After his dedicated service to his country, he graduated from Upsala College in E. Orange, NJ in 1957 where he majored in Business Administration and Insurance. He worked for many years for Hess Oil as the Risk Management Director. He and his wife, Florence retired to Seven Lakes in 1988. Cris gave unselfishly of his time and volunteered for the Coalition for Human Care and served as their president in 1991. He enjoyed swimming, had an avid interest in the stock market and loved his cats.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Florence Wagner Crisafulli; nephews: Bobby Crisafulli of North Carolina, Bill Crisafulli of Nakomis, FL, John Campa and wife Teresa of Cresco, PA, Vincent Campa of Union, NJ, Joe Grasso and wife Joann of Parsippany, NJ. He is also survived by his niece, Janis Borbas and husband Peter of Boonton, NJ and a niece through marriage, Pat Nolte and her husband Ernie of Lafayette, NJ.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
