The Aberdeen Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened Wednesday night.

Emergency responders were called around 11:15 pm to the 200 block of Victory Lane off of Midway Road for a reported shooting incident. While law enforcement and EMS units were still enroute to the scene they were notified that the victim was being transported by a private vehicle to the hospital.

Units from the Aberdeen Police Department responded to the area of the shooting as well as sending officers to the emergency room at the hospital.

According to Aberdeen Police Chief Carl Colasacco who was at the scene, one male victim had reportedly been struck by gunfire. Officers located 4 shell casings in the roadway in front of 224 Victory Lane. The Chief also stated that the house at that address had also been struck one or more times by gunfire.
